Virginia C. Swiercinsky, 82 went to be with our Lord on May 2, 2014. Virginia was born April 14, 1932 in Concordia KS. The daughter of Ralph W. and Elsie C. (Erickson) Walker. Virginia graduated from Concordia High School in 1950. On May 17, 1956 she was united in marriage to Roman W. Swiercinsky Jr. and to this union there were seven children. Virginia was a farm wife the majority of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing the piano and watching Kansas City Chiefs and K-State Football. She is survived by her seven children; Janice LaBonte, Steve Swiercinsky, Karen (Tim) Hiatt, Greg (Deb) Swiercinsky, Bryan Swiercinsky, Cheryl (Tom) Hiatt, Lisa (Mike) Strecker; 20 grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren, brother-in-law Tom (Carol) Swiercinsky, sister-in-laws Lorene (Kenny) Berggren, Bernadine, and Kathryn Swiercinsky; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Elsie, husband Roman, and three sisters Charlotte, Arline, and Donna. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:0 A.M. Wednesday May 7 at St. Edwards Catholic Church, Belleville with Celebrant Father Brian Lager. Visitation: 1-8 Monday, May 5 and 9:00 am – 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 6, with a prayer vigil and rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Tibbetts Fischer Funeral Home. Memorials: St. Edward Catholic Church, Meadowlark Hospice of Clay Center, or Republic County Hospital Long Term Care. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
