Ronald Tallent

Ronald K. Tallent passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at his home in Belleville, Kansas at the age of 73. He was born October 28, 1938 to Toley T. and Vinna B. (Fry) Tallent at Belleville. Ron attended Belleville schools and graduated from high school with the Class of 1956. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for 22 � years as a cryptology technician. Ron was a life member of both the V.F.W. and American Legion. He was also a life member of Arthur T. Weed Lodge No. 59 AF & AM, Kenitra Morocco, and was appointed district Grand Deacon, Grand National Lodge of France. In 1959 Ron married Shirley Valek and to the union four children were born, Tracy, Lanette, Lisa, and Christopher. In the year 2000 he was married to Carol (Cassel) Kuck and his family increased with the addition of Carol's children, Debra, Jay, and Scott. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Vinna and Toley Tallent and other family members. He will be forever remembered by his wife Carol J. of their home; daughters Lanette Herrman, Belleville, Lisa Burgess, Tampa, FL; sons Tracy and wife Connie, Starr, SC, Christopher and wife Jana, Tampa, FL; step-children Debra and Paul Grammon, Logan, KS, Jay Kuck, Logan, KS and Scott and Cindy Kuck, Poteau, OK; brothers Gerald, Belleville, Dale (Elsie), Hiawatha, Jerry (Nina), Chanute; sisters Dorothy (Richard) Alkire, Edythe Hammer, and Mrs. Leo (Ruth) Everhart all of Belleville; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Immediate cremation was chosen with cremains to be distributed at sea by the United States Navy. The family invites family and friends to a come and go celebration of Ron's life to be held Monday, May 14, 2012 at the Central Christian Church, Belleville, Kansas. Memorials may be made to Meadowlark Hospice. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas was in charge of these arrangements.
