Robert "Bob" Demanett

Robert Dean Demanett was born on June 2, 1957, in Concordia, Kansas, the son of Donald Dean & Neva Evelyn (Forshee) Demanett. He passed away at his home with his family by his side on March 13, 2023, at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 11 days.

Bob attended Concordia schools, graduating from Concordia High School class of 1975. He then attended Beloit Vo-Tech, where he earned a degree in carpentry.

He was united in marriage to Roxanna Scrivner on February 10, 1979, at the Methodist Church in Republic, Kansas.

Bob loved music and was a member of many bands and musical groups.

He also enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Dean.

His memories will be forever cherished by his wife Roxanna, son Jace Demanett and his wife Kelsey of Concordia, daughter Christy Demanett and her fiancée Matt Dorris of Wichita, daughter Danielle Demanett of Concordia and his mother Neva of Concordia. Pa-Pa is also survived by his grandchildren Hunter, Arista, Genevieve, Imogen, Eviana, Harmony, Harper and Eliza. He is also survived by his brother Dennis and his wife Sue, brother Steve and his wife Linda, sister Deanna Giles and her husband Tom, many nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Memorial Services will be Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Wesleyan Church in Concordia.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Mid-America Chapter of the ALS Association to help fund research and a cure for this horrible disease, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.

Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home and Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home are assisting Bob’s family with these arrangements.
