Pamela Sue Lauritsen, daughter of Walter and Norma (McKelips) Starkey, was born December 24, 1962 at Concordia, Kansas. She passed away suddenly at her home in Munden, Kansas Saturday evening, July 8, 2017 at the age of 53 years. She attended Clyde public schools and went on to finish her G. E. D. Pam worked various jobs throughout her life, but what she loved the most was bartending. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her hobbies were gardening and canning the vegetables of her garden and collecting angels. Pam was united in marriage to the love of her life, Brian Lauritsen on Friday, July 13, 2007 in Blair, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her father Walter Starkey; brothers Alvie and Sam; mother-in-law Jacklyn Lauritsen; and her grandparents; and her niece Sandy. Pam will be forever remembered by her mother and step-father Norma & Rollie Crays; husband Brian of their home; daughter Brenda Thomas, Belleville; son Brandon (Jamie) Snavely, Concordia; step-daughters Jessica and Ashley Fox; 13 grandchildren: Corbin Walker, Dallas (Buss) Thomas, Logan Palmer, Molly Palmer, Khali Kendrick, Tristin Kendrick, Sydney Strayer, Makahla Fox, Alana Fox, Kheara Fox, Jamie, Steven Kasl, Curtis Lewellyn; sisters Maggie and Mary; father-in-law Herman Lauritsen; sisters-in-law Amy and Lucinda; brother-in-law Jeff; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas with Chaplain Dwayne Snavely officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Belleville. Memorials may be made for the Family’s Choice.
