Pamela Kay Allen daughter of Tony and Cecilia (Wakefield) Carter was born in Kansas City, Kansas on March 10, 1959 and died Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Republic County Hospital in Belleville Kansas at the age of 56 years 8 months and 2 days. In 1976 Pamela married James Myers having three children, Wesley Myers of Macon MO, Amy Hopper of Moberly MO and Jaime Myers of Paola KS. On February 14, 1988 Pamela married Thomas Van Allen & had three children; Christina Van Allen of Concordia KS, Angela Van Allen of Belleville KS and Tamara Van Allen of Belleville KS. On August 24 2002 Pamela married Matthew Allen they had one child, Madison Allen of Belleville KS. Pamela had a love of gardening and people, making lifelong friends at every stop on her journey. Pamela moved to Belleville in 1999 and loved her small town life. She was an active member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Belleville. While raising her children Pamela waitressed for over 20 years, was a seamstress at Scott Specialties and at the time of her death Pamela worked as a personal assistant for OCCK and at the Bel-Villa restaurant. Pamela will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Tony Carter. Pamela will forever be remembered by her husband Matt Allen, son Wesley Myers, daughters Amy Hopper, Jaime Myers, Christina Van Allen, Angela Van Allen, Tamara Van Allen, Madison Allen, Mother Cecilia Wakefield of Grain Valley MO, Uncle Ed Hayes of Kansas City, KS, sister Donna Spires, half- brothers Steve Winfrey, Chris Winfrey, Butch Carter, David Carter, 12 Grandchildren and all her friends and the people she touched along the way.
A vigil and rosary service was held Sunday, November 15 and her Funeral Mass was held Monday, November 16, 2015 at St. Edwards Catholic Church, Belleville, Kansas with Father Jose and Deacon Steve Heiman officiating. Inurnment was in St. Josaphat’s Cemetery rural Belleville. Memorials may be made to the Church in memory of Pamela. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas assisted the Allen family with these arrangements.
