Norma Jean Hostinsky, daughter of Ernest and Bessie (Barnett) Fisher, was born September 1, 1928 on the farm north of Cuba, Kansas. God called her to her eternal home in Heaven Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the age of 83 years. Growing up on the farm, she attended Bee Bee rural school and graduated from Cuba High School. She attended Kansas Wesleyan and Kansas State University where she received her teaching certificate. Norma taught at Hayworth School for several years. She also worked for the rural telephone company as an operator. She was married to Frank Hostinsky on August 5, 1951 at Cuba and lived in the community her entire life. Norma and Frank worked together in their farming and cattle operation. She continued to be his helping hand until her health would no longer allow her to work. Norma loved to garden, coke, bake, and can the fruits of her gardening. Through the years she was a member of the Cuba Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Norma will be forever remembered by her husband Frank of their home; daughter Joyce Hostinsky and son Dale Hostinsky of Cuba; her brother Gerald Fisher and wife Ramona of Cuba; sister-in-law Gladys Goodyear of Hyattsville, MD; other relatives and a community of friends. Funeral services were held Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Presbyterian Church, Cuba, Kansas. Burial was in Kopsa Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family's choice and will be designated at a later date. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas, was entrusted with these arrangements
