Neva Jensen

The Family will be receiving friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at the home of Gary Jensen, 215 Main St., Courtland.

Neva Mae Jensen was born on January 3, 1932 in Cloud County to Patrick and Orpha (Sprague) Henry, and passed away June 21, 2018 at the age of 86 years at Mount Joseph Senior Village in Concordia, KS. Neva and Allan were married on August 26th, 1953, and from this marriage five children were born - Linda, Sylvia, Debra, Nancy, and Gary. She was a dedicated and loving homemaker for her family of 5 children and this flowed through to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Neva devoted her life to loving her family and others, constantly influencing those around her. She touched countless people with her smile and love of baking. She was also a dedicated gardener and enjoyed sewing and crochet.

Neva will be forever remembered by her husband, Allan Jensen of Courtland; daughter, Linda Estes of Clifton, KS; daughter, Sylvia Larson, children Dan and Laurie of Sullivan, MO; daughter Debra Swank and husband Patrick, children Brad and Kristen of Sacramento, CA; son-in-law Terry Gile, Nancy and Terry’s children, Michael and Lisa; son, Gary Jensen, and his daughter Jessica; along with ten great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by; son-in-law Richard Larson; daughter, Nancy Gile and grandson, Jason Love.

Graveside service and interment was held Monday, June 25, 2018 at the Courtland Cemetery. Mr. Dwight Garman, Living Waters Family Church, conducted the service. Memorials should be made to the Republic county Relay for Life. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas assisted the Jensen family with these arrangements.
