Michael Anderson

Michael “Mick” Anderson was born on August 22, 1956 in Belleville, Kansas to Doug and Betty (Ballaugh) Anderson. After graduating from Belleville High School, Mick attended North Central Kansas Technical College for TV repair. After working in North Platt, Nebraska in this field for many years, he returned to Belleville to help run the family motel. Mick later would become an EMT for 15 years before medically retiring in 1996. After retirement, he moved to Manhattan, Kansas to help take care of his two nieces. He taught them how to cook, about football and gardening. He would take them fishing, when they weren’t keeping him busy with Girl Scout activities and soccer practice. Mick passed from this life December 7, 2017 at his home in Manhattan at the age of 62 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Doug and Betty. He will be forever remembered by his brothers Dougie and Steve Anderson; sister-in-law Lisa; nieces Elizabeth and Ashley; a great niece and two great nephews; other relatives and friends.

A graveside memorial service and inurnment will be held 2:00pm Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Belleville City Cemetery. There will be no visitation as direct cremation services were chosen at the time of his death. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas assisted the Anderson family with these arrangements.
