Maya Marie Sutton-Kearn brought light into our lives on March 18, 2010, and took a piece of our hearts with her on July 29, 2024.
Maya was a vibrant soul that could make anyone smile with her fun-loving and feisty personality, and she touched many people’s hearts. Speaking in a British accent with Jossy was her specialty. She was also fluent in wittiness and loved a good banter. Maya loved her family and was such a joy to be around. When times were tough for her loved ones, she had a knack for putting them at ease with her warm heart and approachable nature. She treasured them and enjoyed their company. You could find her cruising the streets with her brothers and going on midnight Subway runs with Lauren. Maya also enjoyed making slime with Kenzie, playing video games, riding bicycles with her little brother, crocheting, swimming, and tanning. She was also learning to and liked welding and working on cars with her dad, James.
Maya attended Republic County Jr/Sr High School and later transferred to Pike Valley in her 8th-grade year. She was involved in various sports including softball and volleyball. Wrestling, gymnastics, and cheerleading were also sports she participated in at RCJH and PVHS. Maya dabbled in pageantry at the age of 5, and boy did she surprise us when she walked off the stage and placed her tiara on another little girl’s head.
In her short time, she made a profound impact on all who were fortunate to know her. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and ability to make people laugh. Her forehead kisses and wittiness will be missed by many.
Those left to cherish her memories include her mom and dad, James and Kaytlynn (Brunsilius) Cluver; brothers, Anthony Williams, Jordan Williams, Markus Cluver; her father, Chris Sutton-Kearn; half-brothers, Carter Sutton-Kearn, Xavier Sutton-Kearn; half-sister, Paytyn Rodriguez; step brother, Kellan Stupka; step sister, Addison Stupka; grandparents, Morris and Valerie Brunsilius, Donnie and Debbie Kearn, and Lee Estrada; aunt and uncles, Sarah and Kyle Cyr, Abigail Molina, Shane and Megan Cluver, Jason and Melissa DeLay, Sean and Christy Kerr, Shannon Kerr, Angela Estrada, Micheal Estrada and Anhelite Owens. Maya is also survived by her cousins; Kade, Kirk, and Korey, Victoria, Evan, and Josylynn, Riley, Terry, Aydan, Liam, and Easton.
