Mary Cossaart

d. February 9, 1960

MaryAnn Rose Cossaart, age 50 of Munden, Kansas, was born on February 9, 1960 at Belleville, Kansas to Marie and the late Marvin Sterba. She passed away Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Republic County Hospital , Belleville . MaryAnn was preceded in death by her father, and her nephew Jordan Popelka. She will be forever remembered by her three children: daughter Mandy Zaptin and husband Clint and five children, Courtney, Ali, Caitlin, Emily, and Jacob of Crete, Nebraska; Ryan Robbins and four children, Skyler, Gage, Riley, and Kloe of Reynolds, Nebraska; son Ronnie Robbins and fiance Jeanette and four children, Trinity, Jayden, Destiny, and Jayla of Clyde, Kansas; her mother Marie Sterba, Munden, Kansas; sister Sharon Haley and husband Steve, Wichita, Kansas and nephew Joel Popelka; and brother David Sterba, Cuba, Kansas. MaryAnn enjoyed her fourteen grandchildren and was always willing to have them help in the garden or take them to the creek for fishing and a picnic. They loved their Grandma MaryAnn very much. The outdoors was where she excelled. Gardening was where she found her tranquility. MaryAnn was a very adventurous person, she enjoyed an occasional back road drive, listening to music and singing along, all too often to stop to pick her favorite wild flower along side the road. Spring was her favorite time of the year, fresh lilacs in bloom, wild mushroom hunting, fishing, and of course gardening. She also had a big love for cats, which she treated them like one of the family. She was a certified med aide for several years and also provided housekeeping services for several area families. MaryAnn was a wonderful, loving mom, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed by everyone, her big heart, her beautiful smile, and her carefree spirit. Someday we will be reunited; until then watch over us from above, we love you.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville , Kansas with Pastor Harvey Farnsworth officiating. Family inurnment at a later date will be in Tabor Cemetery . Memorials may be made to the family.
