Lorna Jean Lindsey, daughter of Eugene and LaNoma “Penny” (Melvin) Barton was born September 25, 1964 at Belleville, Kansas. She entered her eternal home in Heaven early Friday, January 15, 2016 while living at the Belleville Healthcare Center . Lorna grew up in the Belleville community, attending the public schools and graduating from Belleville High School. In 1987, Lorna met and married Jay Lindsey and he introduced her to Jesus Christ who became her Savior and Lord. Jay and Lorna spent the next 26 years loving each other and serving God together. They pastored Our Father’s House in Belleville and side by side shared the Gospel with all who would listen.

People were attracted to Lorna’s sincere love for them and she had many friends. Her interest in drawing was expressed through the beautiful pictures she colored and shared with those around her.
Lorna and Jay made their home in Scandia until their health began failing and they entered health care centers in Clyde and then Belleville. Lorna was preceded in death by her parents; sister Joyce White; and her husband Jay who died in May of 2014. She will be forever remembered by her nieces, Jessica Weathersbee and family; Jazmen and Bailey White; brother-in-law, John White; Jay’s family; and many dear friends.
