Linda Lou (Trzicky) Splichal was born on May 23, 1945 in Deshler, NE to Bill and Lorena (Pressnall) Trzicky, and passed away June 14, 2018 at the age of 73 years at Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln, NE.  She attended Munden Grade School and graduated from Munden High School in 1963. She was a flight attendant for TWA, a dental assistant, and a bookkeeper for Arbuthnot Drug Co. for 24 years. Linda and LeRoy were united in holy matrimony on May 20, 1967 at St. George’s Catholic Church in Munden, and from this marriage three children were born - Lori, Daryn, and Kevin.

Linda devoted her life to loving service and unceasing prayer for her family and others, constantly nurturing God’s creation. Linda and LeRoy exemplified God’s image of the sacrament of marriage. United as one they enjoyed traveling, gardening, biking and walking, cooking, attending their grandchildren’s various activities, and most importantly celebrating the Eucharist together at Mass. Linda’s passion, peace, and joy resided in her relationship with Jesus. The countless people she touched with her words of wisdom and comfort was truly her work as his disciple. Linda was actively involved in the church whether cleaning, serving, cooking, volunteering, or prayer. In the community she served through Faith Works and Hospice.

She is survived by her husband, LeRoy Splichal of Munden; daughter, Lori Esch and husband, Brian, children Dylan and Mallory of Salina; son, Daryn and wife, Dana, children Devyn, Gavin, and Jaiden of Tonganoxie; son, Kevin, children Braden, Sidney, and Konnor of Hays; and brother, Merlyn Trzicky and wife, Judy, of Munden.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Lorena Trzicky.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am Monday, June 18, 2018 at St. George Catholic Church, Munden, Kansas with Father David Metz as Celebrant. She will be laid to rest in St. George Catholic Cemetery, rural Munden. A Rosary/Vigil service was held Sunday evening at St. Edward Catholic Church, Belleville. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas assisted the Splichal family with these arrangements.
