MEMORIALS TO THE LINDA ALLDAY MEMORIAL
Linda Diane (Havel) Allday, 69, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Belleville Healthcare Center. She was born December 2, 1945 in Belleville. Linda is the daughter of Melva Havel-Parrack and the late Vernon Havel who preceded her in death in 1969. She is survived by her daughter Amy Jo (Daniel) Downing and grandchildren Jared and Jaxon Corbin, Lauren Downing, Daniel Downing II; step-grandchildren Colter Lewis, Erin and Jacob Downing of Haysville, Kansas; sisters Joleen (Terry) Baxa, Belleville, Kansas and Peggy (Lyle) Humpert, Tescott, Kansas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Linda began her career with Southwestern Bell in 1963 at Concordia, Kansas as a telephone operator, advancing in positions of increasing responsibility until retiring from Southwestern Bell in Wichita in 2000 after 37 years of service. She enjoyed sewing, making beautiful clothes for her family, and uniforms for her family’s café in Cuba, Havel’s Café. She loved to garden, having a beautiful rose garden at her home in Topeka while employed for SW Bell. Linda was very dedicated to her family and was always filling in wherever she was needed. She will be missed greatly.
Memorial services will be held 11:00am Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Presbyterian Church, Cuba, Kansas. Family inurnment according to Linda’s wishes will be in the National Bohemian Cemetery District #13, rural Cuba. Memorials are suggested to the National MS Society or the Linda Allday Memorial. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas was in charge of these arrangements.
