Lester Ray Gustin was born on November 18 th , 1948, the son of Lester Alfonso and Edna Margaret (Pierce) Gustin. He attended Scandia public schools and graduated from Scandia High School with the Class of 1967. He participated in Track and excelled in the running events. On September 27 th , 1975 Lester Ray married Mary Annette Eickmann, daughter of Erskine and Dorene Eickmann. To this union, two children were born, Lance Gustin and Lara Gustin. In 1967 he began his career working for Republican Valley Cattle Feeders which later became Premium Feeders and retired from there in 2014; in which he had 40 years of service. Lester Ray passed from this life suddenly Friday, July 28, 2017 at the Republic County Hospital in Belleville, Kansas at the age of 68 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Lester Ray will be forever remembered by his wife Mary of their home; son Lance Gustin of Salina, Kansas; daughter Lara Teichmann and husband Brian of Hutchinson, Kansas; grandchildren Blake and Ashley Teichmann; sister Darlene Simmons of Belleville, Kansas; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and countless number of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Central Christian Church, Belleville, Kansas with Pastor Dwight Garman officiating. Burial will be in the Belleville City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lester R. Gustin Memorial or OCCK of Salina. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas was in charge of these arrangements.
