Laura M. Johnson

Laura Marie Johnson was born on August 30, 1942, in Franklin, Nebraska, the daughter of William Henry & Margaret Ann (Pate) Ormsbee. She passed away on September 22, 2022, in Belleville, Kansas, at the age of 80 years and 23 days.

Laura was united in marriage to Jerald H. Johnson on February 23, 1963, and to this union, one son was born. Jerald and Laura lived in Oregon for many years, before relocating to Belleville in the early 2000s. Laura enjoyed taking care of her home, fishing and crocheting.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerald in 2017, brothers Ronald and Ray, and sister Tammy.

Laura is survived by her son Michael Johnson of Christmas Tree Valley, Oregon; brother Keith Ormsbee of Mankato, brother William Ormsbee, sister Cheryl Wryck and her husband Greg, other family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Belleville. The memorial talk will be given by Charles Novak. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the family, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
