Kevin Gene Johnson was born January 22, 1959 in Seneca, Kansas and he departed this life doing what he loved on May 23, 2018 at the age of 59 years 4 months and 1 day. He was born in Seneca, KS to Clinton and Emogene (Konovalsky) Johnson. Kevin attended grade school in Salina, KS until second grade. Because of Clinton’s job they then moved to Bismarck, ND where they lived until Kevin was in 8 th grade. Kevin attended High School in Camp Hill, PA and graduated from Cumberland Valley High School in 1977. After high school, Kevin attended Junietta College and then completed training in the art of mixology at the Omaha Bartenders School. To this union two children were born, Kelby Lee, and Kale Gene. Kevin spent his life farming and ranching and loving every minute of it. Kevin’s cows were his pride and joy. As a matter of fact, nearly every animal took a liking to Kevin. Kevin was a man of faith, who loved his God and loved serving others. Kevin hardly ever missed a monthly commodity distribution in town. Even at 6am Kevin was always the happiest friendliest guy in the room. Kevin was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Belleville, sang in the praise team, served on trustees, as well as held other various positions within the church. Kevin was an instrumental part of the building of the new fair stand, and you could find him in the fry station just being “Kevin”. Kevin was also on the Belleville After School Program board of directors for many years as well as having served on the Belleville Country Club Board. Kevin and Kerry spent their summers together checking the cows at pasture, cutting trees, and enjoying each other’s company. They were best friends and the greatest example of love to their children.
