Karen Bonner

Karen Loree (Maatsch) Bonner age 71 of Belleville, Kansas passed from this life after battling cancer Sunday, March 09, 2014. She was born in Odell, Nebraska on March 30, 1942, the third child of four children born to Elmer and Rose (Duis) Maatsch. Karen graduated from Odell High School in 1959 then courted and married Don R. Moser. To this union her two children Denise and Kevin were born. Karen lived most of her life in and around this area, close to her family, raising her children, and serving the public. She was a devoted, loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved the Lord and was graced in His light. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and husband Wally Bonner. She will be forever remembered by her daughter Denise and husband Ron Schacht and family, Fairbury, Nebraska; son Kevin and wife Tammy Moser and sons, Riley, Kansas; sisters Jackie Ruyle, Beatrice, Nebraska and Joyce White and husband Dale Siebe, Lincoln, Nebraska; brother Dean Maatsch and Judy Vidlack, Lincoln, Nebraska; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:00am Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas with Pastor Mike Samples officiating. Burial will be 2:00pm that afternoon at St. John’s Cemetery, Lanham, Kansas. Visitation will be 5:00pm to 9:00pm Friday with the family greeting friends 6:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Belleville Public Library in care of Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home who is in charge of these arrangements.
