Jannet M. Benyshek was born on October 11, 1946, in Salina, Kansas, to Howard & Neoma (Rider) Hendriex. Neoma later married Merrill Henry, and the family moved to Clyde, where Jannet grew up, graduating from Clyde High School, class of 1965.

Jannet was united in marriage to Calvin Benyshek on June 27, 1965, and to this union of 56 years, four sons were born, Rick, Shannon, Calvin Jr., and Jeffery.

Jannet attended Beloit Vo-Tech, obtaining her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and she worked in nursing for much of her life. She also owned and operated Benyshek Liquor in Belleville for over 10 years, before her retirement.

Jannet passed away on September 11, 2021, at the Republic County Hospital in Belleville, at the age of 74 years and 11 months.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Shannon in September 1990, brothers Tom Henry, brother-in-law Rod Moore, brother-in-law Tom Bates, sister-in-law Ramona Kalivoda and her husband Jim, sister-in-law Barbara Swan and her husband Earl, brother-in-law Laverne Marcotte, and niece Audrey Kalivoda.

Jannet will be forever remembered by her husband Calvin, sons Rick Benyshek and his wife Lori, Calvin Benyshek Jr. and his wife Tami, and Jeffery Benyshek and his wife Kristi. Grandchildren Ryan Benyshek and his wife Jami, Seth Benyshek, Casey Benyshek, Lynnae Benyshek, Allissa Kearn and her fiancé Steven Steier, Bricen Benyshek, Catelin Benyshek, Cody Benyshek, Steven Benyshek, Hailey Benyshek, Ashley Benyshek, and Lacey Benyshek; great grand-daughters, Bailey, McKayla and Phoebe Benyshek.

She is also survived by her sister Janice Geromini and her husband Rick, brother Harrel Hendriex, sister Sherry Moore, brother Larry “Hank” Henry and his wife Sherry, sister Lyndia Tourangeau and her husband Mark, and sister-in-law Roxana Marcotte.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 15th, 2021, from 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm, with family greeting friends from 6pm – 8pm, at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home in Belleville.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 16th, at 10:00 am, at the Central Christian Church in Belleville, with burial following at National Bohemian Cemetery #13, rural Cuba.

Memorials are requested to the Jannet M. Benyshek Memorial, to be designated at a later date, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
