Ilene Mae (Sis) Milner was born October 14, 1941 to George and Frances Sis in rural Republic County near Munden, KS and died July 23, 2018 at the age of 76. She had 2 brothers and 2 sisters. On February 7, 1978 she was united in marriage to Jack L Milner. With their union, they brought together 6 children from previous marriages.
She worked for many years beside her husband at Nebraska Vault Company in Columbus, NE. Her biggest joys and loves were her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Some of here happiest times, besides spending time with family, were riding her horse along with Rusty-dog trailing beside. She also enjoyed trail riding, camping, gardening and anything that involved being outside. Momma’s love showed through by her making every family member’s favorites for our family gatherings. When her children would travel, she always had them promise to call home when they got to their destinations. She loved attending her grandchildren’s activities. They always knew they could count on seeing Grandma/Gigi in the bleachers or audience. Anyone who met her immediately became a part of her extended family. Her faith brought her great comfort and joy.
She is survived by her husband, Jack at their home in Belleville, KS; children Michelle Markussen and husband Jay, Grand Junction, CO; Lori Bird and husband Glen of Belleville, KS; Jonelle Beeson of Belleville, KS; Stacy Stegman and husband Gary of Choctaw, OK; Todd Milner of Stilwell, KS; Troy Milner of Franklin, TN; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; siblings Sammie (Roger) Lahodny, Robert (Nancy) Sis, Frankie (Linda) Sis and Rebecca (Kelly) Leon.
