Franklin Jr. Hostinsky, son of Frank and Stella (Hadachek) Hostinsky, was born January 11, 1928 in Cuba, Kansas. He passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the age of 84 years. Franklin attended all 12 years of his schooling at Cuba and graduated from Cuba High School in 1946. He worked briefly for the Veterans Department in Washington DC then returned home to Cuba where he worked in the Home Lumber Company with his father and farmed. Frank was married to Norma Fisher on August 5, 1951 in Cuba. In addition to the lumber yard and farming, they started raising cattle in 1963 and Frank was still helping with the cattle operation in 2012. He had served as a volunteer fireman and belonged to the masonic lodge in his younger years. Frank enjoyed visiting with people, taking short rides around the countryside, and being outside whenever possible. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; wife Norma in February 2012; and brother-in-law Kenneth Goodger. He will be forever remembered by daughter Joyce and son Dale of Cuba, his sister Gladys Goodger of Hyattsville, MD; brother-in-law Gerald Fisher and wife Ramona of Cuba; other relatives and friends. Graveside services and interment were held Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Kopsa Cemetery rural Cuba, Kansas. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas was in charge of these arrangements.
