He furnished his children with a lot of good horses he had trained. He also trained race horses and ran them at multiple racetracks that included the Concordia track and Thundercloud Park race track outside of Concordia, Ks. He also had a team of bull dogging and hazing horses, “Kim and Joe” and they also served well as his daughters, Carolyn and Lynda, barrel racing horses. He lived to see his extended family also be raised in the horse industry and with his only son that also married a barrel racer Kathy Craig. His daughters married and their husbands also became team ropers. His many grandchildren also loved the horses and the fun they offered and he was so proud of all they accomplished.
