Dustin Phillip Christenson, son of Phillip and Terry (Powell) Christenson-Tibbets, was born July 12, 1984 at Wichita, Kansas. He lived there until he was age five and his family moved to Winslow, Arkansas. A few years later, Dustin's family moved to Courtland, Kansas where he spent his latter childhood and teenage years. Dustin graduated from Concordia Alternative High School, Concordia, Kansas and attended a welding school. He worked as a welder for Sunflower Manufacturing in Beloit. Dustin enjoyed driving with his dog Deuce by his side, listening to music, hanging with friends, fishing and spending time with his daughter Destyni Paige. He was a loving father, uncle, son, and brother. His first priority was always his family and he will be missed by his family and friends. At the age of 25 years, his life on this earth came to a close too soon, Sunday, April 11, 2010 at his home in Courtland. Dustin is survived by his parents; daughter Destyni Paige Christenson, Fairbury, NE; sister Sarah Christenson, Benton, Arkansas; brothers Kenneth Tibbets, Wichita, Kansas, and Russell Christenson, Tulsa, Oklahoma; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Friday, April 16, 2010 at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas with Mr. Millard Trecek officiating. Cremation followed the service and family inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Destyni Paige Christenson Foundation.
