Clinton Ray Reynolds of Formoso, Kansas, died March 22, 2018, at Brookdale Senior Living in Topeka, Kansas, at the age of 90. He was born in 1927 on the family farm near Booker, Texas. He was the son of Frederick and Ella (Ollenberger) Reynolds. Clinton graduated from Booker High School in 1946. Later that year, he served his country by joining the United States Army. Clinton served with C Troop 12 th Cavalry at Camp McGill, Yokosuka, Japan. He was honorably discharged from military service after his faithful service to his country. He married his sweetheart, Betty Jo Lee, on February 24, 1948, in Booker. In 1954, they moved to Kansas. Clinton was a farmer and stockman in the Lovewell area for many years of their life together. He enjoyed farming, but his true passion was his cattle. Clinton drove a school bus for 16 years. In 1975, they moved to Formoso where they owned and operated the service station and restaurant. Clinton and Betty were blessed with five children. He and Betty enjoyed many years of being together raising their children. Clinton enjoyed providing for his family and appreciated the simple things in life. He practiced the values of hard work and responsibility. Clinton was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Clinton enjoyed time spent with family and nothing was more important to him than those shared moments in life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, of 68 years; a daughter, Peggy Jo Zadina; his parents; four siblings, Virginia Munch, Albert Reynolds, Archie Reynolds, and Lois Taylor; a grandson, Brandon Kuhn; and a son-in-law, Dr. William Schlotterback. Clinton will be deeply missed by his four surviving children, Bonnie Wilson and husband Eddie of Holcomb, Karen Schlotterback of Topeka, Daniel Reynolds and wife Mary of Formoso, and Darla Joy and husband Aden of Belleville; a brother and his wife, Floyd and Lanora Reynolds of Perryton, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Benny Zadina, of Salina; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family present 4pm to 6pm, Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville. Funeral services will be held at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, March 26, 2018. Burial will follow at the Balch Cemetery, Formoso. Pastor Jonathan Peppers of The Baptist Church, Concordia, will officiate.
