Cathlene A. Carver, 73, Mahaska, Kansas, passed away on July 5, 2024, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairbury, Nebraska. She was born on January 23, 1951, in Fairbury, Nebraska, to Harry and Grace (Ellis) Henry. She attended school in Mahaska, Kansas. She worked as a brick picker at Endicott Clay Works.

She married Marvin Carver, Sr., on November 1, 1967. To this union three children were born, Marvin, Jr., Wendy, and Crystal. 

Cathlene was a very independent, strong woman who loved her family. She enjoyed watching game shows, gardening and being outdoors, and horseback riding. 

Cathlene is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Carver, Sr.; parents, Harry Henry and Grace Long (James); grandson, Ryan Carver; and brother, Arlen Hahnfeld.

She is survived by her children, Marvin Carver, Jr., of Mahaska, KS, Wendy Haack of Uehling, NE, Crystal Boxum of Smith Center, KS, and; grandchildren, Taylor Carver (Kasey), Marvin Lou Carver, III (Crystal), Andrea Carver, Mark Davis, Amber Davis, Michelle Davis, Courtney Kasl (Tyler), and Josie Boxum; siblings, John Henry, and Pamela Naber (Chad); many great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A graveside memorial service will take place at the Mahaska Cemetery on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be served at the Mahaska Community Center following the service.

Memorials can be made to the family in care of Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 566, Belleville, KS 66935. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home is assisting the Carver family with arrangements.
