FAMILY GREETING FRIENDS AND FAMILY TUSEDAY 5:00PM TO 7:00PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME

Betty Jo Reynolds of Formoso, died Thursday, January 12, 2017, at the Republic County Hospital, Long Term Care, Belleville, at the age of 89. She was born August 29, 1927, near Booker, Texas.  She was the daughter of Walter Lee and Dora Wakefield Lee. Betty graduated from Booker High School in 1945.  She married Clinton Reynolds on February 24, 1948, in Booker.  In 1954, they moved to Kansas.  They farmed in the Lovewell area for many years of their life together.  Betty was a member of the Lovewell Methodist Church. In 1975, they moved to Formoso where they operated the service station and restaurant. She and Clinton had five children.  She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an amazing homemaker, caregiver, cook, gardener, and seamstress.  In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, needlework, and quilting.  Betty enjoyed time spent with family and nothing was more important to her than those shared moments in life. She was preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings, Dora Depew, Alfred Lee, Alvin Lee, Henry Lee, Mary Kitzmiller, Beatrice ­­­­Ritzman, Leonard Lee, Walter Eugene Lee, and Eva Thomas; a daughter, Peggy Jo Zadina; a grandson, Brandon Kuhn; and a son-in-law, Dr. William Schlotterback.  Survivors include Clinton, her husband of over 68 years; a sister, Ella Page, of Mankato; a brother, Carl Ray Lee, of Booker, Texas; four children, Bonnie Wilson and husband Eddie of Holcomb, Karen Schlotterback of Topeka, Daniel Reynolds and wife Mary of Formoso, and Darla Joy and husband Aden of Belleville; thirteen grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; son-in-law Benny Zadina of Salina; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, 1104 20 th Street, Belleville, at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 18, 2017.  Burial will follow at the Balch Cemetery, Formoso.  Pastor Jonathan Peppers of The Baptist Church, Concordia, will officiate.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family being present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Betty Jo Reynolds Memorial Fund sent in care of Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 566, Belleville, Kansas 66935.
