Barbara Joan Reynolds, daughter of Robert “Bob” Lawson and Blanche (Pugh) Lawson was born July 11, 1931, in Agenda, Kansas and died August 30, 2016 at the Republic County Hospital, Belleville, Kansas at the age of 85 years. Barbara was united in marriage to Vernon Lee Reynolds on October 11, 1947 and from this marriage four children were born, Nickolas Lee Reynolds, Susanne Jo Reynolds, John Dean Reynolds, and Patrick Jay Reynolds. When Barbara was nine years old her mother died, she, her brother James “Jim” Lawson and sister Gloria Lawson were then raised by their grandparents, Arlie and Stella Pugh in rural Agenda, Kansas. She attended grade school and high school with her brother and sister at Agenda. Her father, “Bob” Lawson later remarried Louise Kraft. In later years she, her husband and family made Cuba, Kansas their home where she resided until her death. Barbara enjoyed raising and showing horses. She also raised and raced greyhounds along with pet dogs. She worked many years in the health industry, was a past member of Eastern Star and Veterans Wives. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, parents Robert “Bob” Lawson and Blanche Lawson, stepmother Louise Lawson, brother James “Jim” Lawson and brother-in-law Donald Kolman. She will be forever remembered by her sister Gloria Kolman, Cuba, Kansas, sister-in-law Elsie Lawson, Agenda, Kansas; three sons, Nickolas (Pam) Reynolds, Cuba, Kansas, John (Deanna) Reynolds, Conroe, Texas, Patrick (Sherry) Reynolds, Las Vegas, Nevada; and a daughter Susanne Jo Reynolds, Cuba, Kansas; six grandchildren, Cass (Misty) Reynolds, Cuba, Ks, Jay T.(Kim) Reynolds, Concordia, Ks, Justin Reynolds, Assaria, Ks, Jodie Reynolds, Belleville, Ks, Christy Reynolds, Las Vegas, Nv., John (Nina) Reynolds, Las Vegas, Nv., and ten great grandchildren.
Graveside services and inurnment will be held at 10 o’clock, Sept. 3, 2016 at Agenda Cemetery, Agenda, Kansas. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas assisted the Reynolds family with these arrangements.
