Alma Louise Anderson Schulz, daughter of Ernest W. Anderson and Erma Ruthella (Press) Anderson was born July 8 th , 1926 at the family home near Haddam, Kansas. After graduating from High School at Agenda, Kansas she went on to Emporia State Teachers College to earn her teachers certificate. She taught school at Meter grade school in Eastern Republic County. On May 29, 1947 she was united in marriage to Kenneth C. Schulz. They lived and farmed North of Brantford in Washington County most of their married life. After retiring from farming she and Kenneth moved to Agenda in 1975. Alma served as Agenda city clerk for a number of years. In 1999 she moved to Belleville where she continued to enjoy retirement. Alma departed this life Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Health Care Center in Belleville, Kansas at the age of 88 years, 6 months, 3 days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, her parents and sister Rosella (Arvid L) Bergstrom. She is survived by her brother Denzil (Joyce) Anderson of Belleville, nieces and nephews, other relatives and a community of friends.
Graveside services will be held 11:00am Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Agenda Cemetery south of Agenda. Visitation will be 1:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday with family greeting family and friends from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers family suggests memorials be made to the Belleville Health Care Center. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas is in charge of these arrangements.
